Sup 7 E installation

Hello,

I'm preparing for core switch upgrade (new 4506E chasis with Sup7E) and have questions:

1.does the engine come with IOS installed?

2.does the engine come with license or perhaps I need to buy it?

3.is there instalation/configuration manual available (I can't find it) - unfortunately I don't have experiance with core switches, so I need as much info as possible.

1) Yes, the IOS come installed.

2) What license? You can receive a document, but lot of features licensed will work whitout any check.

Thanks. I've just installed the sup in the chassis and powered it on. It went into rommon and states that "peer supervisor not detected or is not running IOS"?? You mentioned that it should come with IOS preloaded. Can you advise?

Try insert this commands in rommon:

flash_init

boot

May be your supervisor is without IOS...

Have you 2 supervisor?

Remove one and try boot again.
