- The TCAM stands for ternary content addressable memory which can be used for storing routing information or forwarding tables. In a first approach I would 1) Look for excessive traffic from major up links on the device (such as traffic-storms) 2) Look at the software version the device is currently running. If feasible or applicable , upgrade the device, using a more recent release and check if the problem remains in place.
