Sup720 copatibility

Can we use Sup720-base and sup720-3b cards in the same 65xx chassis and if yes is it possible to have SSO mode ?

SSO is not possible. The reason behind it is that the moment you will take out the old supervisor module and will insert the new one, the redundancy will fall back to RPR as for SSO we need same hardware and also RPR takes atleast 2 mins for switchover.

*Redundant supervisor engines must be of the same type with the same model feature card.

Also Supervisors that have been field upgraded from PFC3A to PFC3B/3BXL may still show "SUP720-BASE".  That product name is programmed on the sup720 baseboard.

So you need to show module and check the daughter card type also. If PFC 3A then SSO will not work.
