Documentation discusses "1-Gigabit Operation", where all 4 1-Gig SFP's on Sup7L-E are enabled. But it does not say __how__ to select either 10-G or 1-G operational modes.
Please help! I have searched & searched, & cannot find any mention of how to do this.
thanks in advance....

Hello Lorraine,
From the release notes
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/release/note/OL_25346.html#wp2552887
" Supervisor Engine 7L-E has two modes (One-Gigabit and Ten-Gigabit), which can be changed from Ten-Gigabit to One-Gigabit, or One-Gigabit to 10-Gigabit by entering the hw-module uplink select [gigabitethernet | tengigabitethernet] command and then reloading the shelf . By default, Supervisor Engine 7L-E is in Ten-Gigabit mode"
Also :
"Supervisor Engine 7L-E supports two Ten-Gigabit ports in Ten-Gigabit mode and four One-Gigabit ports in One Gigabit mode non blocking. SFP+ transceivers are not be supported in 1 Gigabit mode."
Best regards.
