Support STB?

Good Morning,

I would like to make a question to you. My support manager provides me with subscriber's television services but it needs a STB port support in the router. I have a E3000 router. Can it support a Set Top Box in one of the ethernet ports of the router? If not, is there a possibility of arranging the router in a way so as to function with the decoder of the supporter?

Thank you for your assistance,

Yours faithfully,

DIMITRIS SKAFIDAKIS

I am not sure that STB port support means. I would like to know more. Are you asking for multicast support or what exactly. What does this STB port do that is different than what a regular switchport will do.

Based on the e3000 product data sheet, there are 4 ethernet switchports and 1 router (wan) port. no STB port.

Shelley.
