SW 6506: %PFREDUN-SP-4-VERSION_MISMATCH alarm

Hi,

The L3 switch from the company shows some alarms regarding supervisor engine (slot 6) being power-cycled. The module changed states from reset, disabled, RPR mode, to standy status during Sunday evening (almost 11pm) and no one was connected to the network at that time.

Although supervisor Module 6 has not been enabled as a redundancy from my site -perhaps previous engineers tried but not aware of-. Btw, IOS images from modules are not matching therefore redundancy is not working.

I wonder if this is a normal behavior from this switch, logs from the switch are being attached within a notepad file.

Thank you.

Hi,

If no one was connected to the device, the reason for the reload is most likely a software bug. BTW,

12.2(33)SXJ3

This version of the IOS you are running is at least 15 years old.
