I have two locations with the following switches:
Location 1: (2) 3750-48P in stack, SW version 12.2 (50) SE, IP SERVICES image
Location 2: (1) 3750-48P, SW version 12.2 (35) SE5, IP BASE image
I need to take a switch from Location 1 and move it to Location 2. Originally, I had planned to upgrade the IOS on the Location 2 switch, and then just add the member switch from Location 1 to the stack. Unfortunately, the Location 1 switch has a different image, and my notes say that all members in a stack must have the same image. What are my options here? Can I "downgrade" the Location 1 switch to IP BASE in order to add it to my stack? Alternatively, could I swap the switches at both locations? And if that's the best option, what would be the best way to do it?
Thanks.

Yes.

Good to know. Assuming I wanted to go with option 2 (swap the switches), is it just a matter of swapping the config files?

Yes, you can do this as well.
