Good morning friends, I upgraded a switch WS-C3850-48P-S
I did the installation from
Switch # software install file flash: cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.09.05.SPA.bin

At the moment of starting it only keeps loading this, it does not allow me to stop the start with the mode button. Any recommendation on how to recover it?

Hi @roman.campos ,

Power off the switch and power on. Then press the mode button continuously.

It should go to the ROMMON and then we can recover using USB method.

In case if you are not able to go into ROMMON method, please share the session logs once the hard reset is done.

Good morning friend, it did not work for me to press the mode button continuously, I still cannot interrupt the process that the switch has.

attached log firmware file

Thanks for you answer

is switch part of stack now?  disconnect it.

if you see Switch# you are in Switch mode (aka ROMMON mode),  use help to list commands and set to set variables.  Upgrade failed or something is missing; switch tries to load and reboots 5 times before stopping at Switch mode (where you now).  I think check flash for bin files. if you have *.bin file then set BOOT=flash:abcd.that.bin.file and type boot .  I think you may have to do init_flash before you can do dir or set.

Regards, ML
