Switch crashes after SPAN configuration

Alex Vector

I needed to configure SPAN on my Cisco IOL switch

But on creating the destination interface, as soon as I hit enter, the session gets disabled.
Switch(config)#no monitor session 1
Switch(config)#monitor session 1 source interface e0/1

Switch(config)#monitor session 1 destination interface e0/3

After this when I press ENTER, the session gets disconnected and the switch just reboots.

This is what I see while this happens

Switch#

The switch has its basic default configuration for all interfaces. Please help if you know what to do

Thanks and Regards,

Appears to be a software crash. I would open a ticket with Cisco and have them investigate the issue. You may need to upgrade the IOS.
