I read somewhere that a Cat switch has the same MAC address for all the ports. Is this true? I don't have an access to a Cat switch. Thanks.

No.

Features on Cisco switches depend on what series they are. Information on Cisco switches and their features is available here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/index.html.

Cheers,

Josef

Does this mean you will have multiple entries for a each trunk in a single etherchannel group?

Thanks.

Depends. If you have gigabit interfaces, you can use the interface range command:

Switch# configure terminal

Switch(config)# interface range gigabitethernet0/1 -X where X is the last interface in the range.

Otherwise if you are configuring etherchannel some configuration examples are available here http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk389/tk213/tech_configuration_examples_list.html.

Cheers,

Josef.
