Switch Model Suggestions

Hello,

I have a few locations on my network that only requires between 4 and 10 connections. I am currently using basic 5 port mini switch for these areas. Most other locations on the network are connected by the C2950s. I may need more than 4 connections at the areas with the mini switches but never more than 10. I would also like to manage/monitor the switch for errors and add seperate VLANs to some ports if need be. The 5 port mini switches do not meet either need as they are unconfigurable. I am looking for suggestions on the best switch to fit my needs here short of buying a 24 port C2950 or C2960.

Thanks,

Sigh

Hi, You could possibly use a 2950 12 port. Cisco WS-C2950-12. Nice little 12 port switch, with limited QOS for the standard image. However they appear to be EOS, so you would have to find them from a reseller.

Yes i do actually have a couple of those but can no longer by them from Cisco. Any other model suggestions? Linksys (Cisco) maybe?
