Hi,

Can switches SG500XG-8F8T in a stack do multichassiss LACP aggregation?

Example: I want connect server with two XG NICs to stack made by switches SG500XG-8F8T. Due to high availability the first NIC should be connected to the first switch and the second NIC to the second switch. Is it possilbe? Or have I to use 3750 series switches or similar?

Thanks Martin

Pretty sure ive done this before.

the 'High Availability and Resiliency' section and 'True Stacking' section will help you out.

Hmm, there is no exact info about LACP in stack in these paragraphs. I must to believe you. ;-)

Yes, these switches function as true stacks which means it functions as a single unit:

- Single STP domain

- Single RMON Agent

- You can link aggregate across units in the stack

- You can port and VLAN mirror across units in the stack

- Unified control and Management planes

etc.
