Text Editor to compare between two configuration files

We used to "copy and paste" configuration from a txt file. Sometimes I need to compare between the configuration's txt files and the output of the "show running-config" command.

What is the recommended (powerful) text editor that can be used to compare between a configuration txt file and the output for "show running-config" command, specillay when we have got the configuartion file with too many lines of configurations.

Use Compare It " , it is a tool used exactly for that , not sure if it costs anything.

Notepad++ and the compare plugin. Great stuff.

Oh, just wanted to add, many Cisco devices support diff on the device's command line. I often use it to compare startup to running, but it's not limited to just those files. (NB: however, some versions do seem a bit buggy, as they don't always pickup all the diffs.)
