Topology question--> Cable or Switch?

So, on the topology below, can someone tell me how do I know if the line represents a Cable (Bus Topology) or a Switch?

It should be a single cable that connects all the nodes. If you connect it via a switch/hub called as star topology.

As per the topology its a bus.

Now a days i dont think so still using bus topology. Everything should be connected via a hub or a switch. Below link will help you to understand more about topology.
