Hi Experts,

I would like to forward the traffic between 3845 and 7206.

the problem is that 3845 and 7206 does not have fiber ports so i am using 4506 to connect them.

PPT attached for the reference

By defalut the 4506 will not forward the traffic to each other.

What are the configuration change i need to do on the 4506 ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks,

Madan.

Can you post the config for the 4506's?

Also, what OS - CatOS or IOS?

Just make this short, on the 4506 connected to 3845:

Create vlan 999 if it is not in the vlan database

Gi4/13 will be access port on vlan 999

G2/6 will be trunk port to the other 4506 if this link will be use to pass multiple vlan's. It can be access port if it is dedicated for vlan 999

On the 4506 connected to 7206:

Create vlan 999 if it is not in the vlan database

Gi3/24 will be access port on vlan 999

G2/6 will be trunk port to the other 4506 if this link will be use to pass multiple vlan's. It can be access port if it is dedicated for vlan 999

It should work the way jerry mentioned. If it still doesnt work, can you verify the vlan info with "sh vlan". Vlan 999 should show the ports belonging to it against this vlan, in your case the port connecting router & the portconnecting other 4506.
