Dear All,
I would like to know whether the host can reach L3 switch in the below scenarioa.
L3 ---- Trunk Link ---- L2--- host
L3 config :
Int valn 4
ip address 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0
int g0/1
switchport mode trunk
L2 config:
int vlan 1
ip adddress 10.10.10.2 255.255.255.0
int f0/1
switchport mode trunk
ip default-gateway 10.10.10.1
If I connect host on L2, which is in vlan 1 (10.10.10.3) is it possible to ping L3 ip address.
Thanks,
satish

if the access port belongs to vlan 4 then yes.

As ohassairi said, in order that PC can ping L3 the host port in L2 should be in vlan 4.
but your L2 will still not be able to ping its default gateway.
you can assign 10.10.10.1 to vlan1 instead.
