Hi all,
I have two 9300 with stacking, And I try to testing the fail-over. Then unplug power cable at active switch and expect standby switch will become to active. But the result is standby switch go to reboot at the same time.
What could be causing for stack switchover fail? Did I missing some configuration? Thanks

Hi,
All outputs show that the stacking has been configured correctly. Is it possible that you have power stacking configured and the primary switch is powering the standby? Are these switches connected to PDU or wall outlets?
What happens if you just reboot the standby? Does that reboot the active too?

hi Reza Sharifi
Yes, there are stack power cable, but I already unplug stack power cable before failover. It is related to stack power configuration causing fail? And how to check stack power configuration?

I believe you need to connect - Cross.
Switch 1 Port 1 stack cable to Switch2 Port 2
Switch 2 Port 2 Stack Cable to Switch 1 Port 1
Switch# Port 1 Port 2 Port 1 Port 2

1 OK OK 2 2
2 OK OK 1 1

Yes it can,it would depend on the power consumption of the stack, what power role that switch played the stack and the and the power mode you have appended to the stack, however in a two switch power stack with all things equal i guess a reload this shoudnt really happen to the second switch.
sh env all
sh stack-power
