Unable config LLDP in Cisco Switch WS-C2960G-24TC-L

Hi...

I have a Switch where I can't enter LLDP commands on the Switch.
Model: WS-C2960G-24TC-L
SW Version: 12.2(35)SE5
I need this command to be detected from other brands of Switch.

Does anyone have any info/ideas about this case?

Hello!

The SW version seems kinda old so I would recommend an upgrade to . But the switch should still be able to do lldp. Have you enabled lldp globaly and on the ports?

Globaly:
lldp run

on interface:
lldp transmit
lldp recive

to check:
sh lldp neighbors

Cisco was late to support LLDP as they already had CDP.  So, very likely in such an old IOS version, LLDP isn't supported.  As also suggested by the other posters, try upgrading your IOS.
