Unable to get a LACP connection to work between a 2960 and C9300-48-UXM-E

Ignore the name, I am working on a 3 switch stack (using Stackwise 480)

C9300 config

C9300_Stack_Member_3(config)#$interface range tengigabitEthernet 1/0/40, tenGigabitEthernet 2/0/40

C9300_Stack_Member_3(config-if-range)#switchport mode trunk
C9300_Stack_Member_3(config-if-range)#switchport trunk allowed vlan 2-4,81,91
C9300_Stack_Member_3(config-if-range)#channel-group 6 mode active
C9300_Stack_Member_3(config-if-range)#exit
C9300_Stack_Member_3(config)#exit

2960 Config

AudioRack(config)#interface range tenGigabitEthernet 1/0/1-2
AudioRack(config-if-range)#switchport mode trunk
AudioRack(config-if-range)#switchport trunk allowed vlan 2-4,81,91
AudioRack(config-if-range)#channel-group
AudioRack(config-if-range)#channel-group 1 mode passive
AudioRack(config-if-range)#exit

On the c9300:

I have been beating my head on a wall for 3 hours on this, and I just cannot see what is causing this.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thx

What happens if this is changed to "active"?

Hi Leo

No change.

I have tried

2960           9300

Active          Active

Active          Passive

Passive        Active

Passive        Passive

Thx

Bryan

And what firmware is the 9300 running on?

Is the 9300 firmware loading on Install or Bundle Mode?

And what log entries show up when the ports are bounced?  Are the ports suspended due to speed mismatch?

Hope we have suggested another posts always use LACP where possible when cisco to cisco connecting (until other reasons here to testing purpose ) ?

the port channel in suspended, so there is an issue, what you see in the Logs  ? is this suspended due to security reasons? what reason?

take a small break, think about what is not working,

1. is this Physical port working as an individual

2. reset the config of the interface to default and start over 1 step at a time,

3. do not make any major changes, so you have control over what is working and what is not working.

4. make sure you have both the side right optics (SFP) - do not connect 10GSFP to 1GSFP?
