scenario and layout
sx550x as main switch, connected to router
then chained to multiple sg350x switches
multiple samsung printers
multiple brother printers
when printing/printer web interface viewing inside the lan - everything is good
but if traffic comes from anywhere outside, no brother printer works. just brother. aside from ping, you can't do anything else.
by "outside" i mean : port forwarding printing, point to point line printing, or anything that is not lan.
the firewall there is palo alto. but we tried to eliminate the fw by connecting the layer2 point to point line directly to the switch.
other non cisco switches work, no problem. also, if we connect a printer directly to the firewall it also works.
disabling smartport on the switch didn't work as well
we've narrowed down the problem to the cisco switches. any ideas?

Hello,
what model/type are your Brother and Samsung printers ? I assume with smartport disabled you mean you applied the 'printer' smartport macro, and that didn't work ?
The first thing you usually do with those SMB switches is to make sure you have the latest firmware release installed, release 2.5.5.47 in your case (zipped file attached).
