I have the same issue, my WS-C4948-10GE can load ios normaly just rommon mode.

I would like to know, how I can upgrade cat4500-ios-promupgrade-122_31r_SGA7 on ROMMON MODE because he can work with this IOS cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.150-2.SG11.bin
I'm in ROMMON MODE now !

Config-Registry value of 0x2101 means ignore the boot variable statement.
Change this to 0x2101 using the command "confreg 0x2102" and then reboot the appliance.
Make sure you are still consoled in when rebooting the appliance because it makes troubleshooting a whole lot easier.

Dear Leo Laohoo,
Please see here the output if i change the Config-Registry value of 0x2102.
He could not find a BOOT environment variable.

Can you please post the complete output to the command "dir bootflash:" or "dir flash:"?
Config registry value can be changed using the command "confreg 0x2102".
