upgrading a cisco 1841 router ios image

hi i'm richard,

im am now managing a cisco 1841 router with 12.4(1c) ip based ios version. I just found out that this image cannot support firewalll and NAC features. these features are necessary for the operation of my work as a network administrator specially in monitoring as well as advance security monitoring.

im planning to upgrade the existing ios version to 12.4 (1c) advance security ios version to support the given features. will this upgrade solves the issue?

you need to have advanced security feature est to have all the required vpn/firewall features.

you can refer the below link for finding out the exact ios filename with the kinda configuration you have out there in your router..
