Hi everyone,
Suppose that a router is connected to two switches(switch A and switch B).
SwitchA is connected to 2 pcs and a server.SwitchB is connected to 1 pc and 1 server.
When i didn't configure vlans on switches PDUs of pcs of switchA succesfully reached pcs of switchB.
After configuration of vlans pdus are unsuccesful to reach.
What must be done?

Hi
Is there a connection between switchA n SwitchB,if its then what port config is on that i.e its a access port or a trunk port.
What is the config of the ports on the siwtch to which the router is connected..I think u need to provide more details.
Thanks

Thanks Mahmood for your reply!
SwitchA and SwitchB are connected via router.
Anyways, i got the remedy for the problem by making them access ports.
can u tell me in brief what functions Access ports and Trunk ports perform?

Access Ports Allows you to Have System under that port to be part of only one VLAN
in Trunk ports you are suppose to connect other switch or router etc. that can carry data of multiple VLANs.
