All,
On a SF3200-24 set layer 3 what is the advantage of setting a static IP to a VLAN other than the native?
V1 - 192.168.100.2
V3 - 192.168.0.2
Thanks Jared

Hi,
You will have static ip addresss on a vlan(SVI) if you would like to route between vlans. You have devices on vlan 1 which need to talk to devices on vlan 3. You add ip addresses to vlan 1 and vlan 3 and enable routing between the two networks.
Thanks
John
