How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

We have a total of 350 running cisco IP Telephone on different 2 subnets. So there is no problem with the configuration of the backend router or L3 switch.

If any subnet  I was put 2960 S series switch with 2960X series switch then the problem will start(Link flapping and telephone doesn’t work).

If I replace 2960 S series switch with 2960X switch then all network work smoothly.

Problem is only with recently purchase 50 new 2960X series switch. Before this, we have 100 x series switch and 100 s series switch and all are working fine together.

We attach x series switch configuration (uplink Switch) and s series switch. The configuration is the same of all switch only interface IP change.

Before that (attach x series switch configuration) total 19 X series switch connected in this subnet and 5 telephones connected. All are working fine.

As Per my understanding you have only issue with "2960X series switch" rest all working as expected.

The config attached to post uplink switch ? is this 2960X series switch  config ? - please confirm

Can you post

show version

show macro auto device

show run interface x/x - one of the interface config, where you connect Phone flapping ?

what you see on the logs that time ?

For testing i want to default one of the interface and test and advise as below config

default interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
switchport mode access
switchport access vlan 30
switchport voice vlan 5
spanning-tree portfast
no shutdown

After this command phone is registered but the voice breaks frequently.

Log attach on notepad

Good to know the phone can get connected.

but the voice breaks frequently.

Can you post after full config. (current one).

voice break is different issue, we need to look, hope same issue not there other switches (thinking may be QoS on the port).

Can you also post working switch config to understand the issue.
