I attempted to change the vPC role priority between two N5K. For it to take effect, it was suggested that the peer-link port-channel be "shut, no shut".
However it seems like the SVI's on the switch shutdown and I lost my remote connection.
Question - was the svi going down expected ?

Okay. Thanks for the info.

Mark, is there any way to bring the VLANs back up - disconnect the peer keep-alive link?
or remove the secondary switch from the vpc domain?
TACACS was severed (because the svi was suspended) and the local logons are not working/unknown.
There is console access to the second n5k switch.
thanks,
