I have a new PIX501 firewall that I have setup a VPN to a PIX 506. The VPN connects correctly but for no reason the connection will drop. On opening up the PDM to the picks it indicates that there is one IKE Tunnel and 2 IPSec Tunnels but I'm unable to contact anything. If i issue the "Clear IPSEC SA" command and then reinitate traffic to the IP subnet the link comes back up. I have no idea why this is happening. The 501 is on a DSl DCHP connect while the 506 is on a static IP. Both using the same provider. Any help would be great.
