Weird HSRP Problem, Unable to ping virtual IP

I have topology as follows

http://i.imgur.com/TEQU0.png

Like shown in the pic, I am using SVI Vlan 70 with IP shown on both of the Switch R1 and R2. R1 is in Active state while R2 is in standby state.

The Problem is,

R1 is able to ping the IPs, 172.30.70.3 & 172.30.70.1

R2 is able to ping IP 172.30.70.2 but unable to ping 172.30.70.1

R4 is able to ping both 172.30.70.2 & 172.30.70.3 but unable to ping 172.30.70.1

Whats wrong?? I am attaching "Show standby" command on both the switched R1 and R2

As a side note : everything was working fine untill the whole topology reloaded.

it looks like a dynamips related issue. It is not worth troubleshooting this on Cisco forum.

Ved,

I had the same issue in GNS, and changed to HSRP ver 2 and afterwards was able to ping virtual ip from standby and the client.

The command is

conf t

int vlan 10

standby ver 2

end
