When using EPC, what does "bytes dropped in ASIC" mean?

When running an EPC session on one of our 9300 switches, i keep seeing in the output when i stop the capture session the following message:

DRCORESWT#mon cap TestBW stop
Capture statistics collected at software:
Capture duration - 57 seconds
Packets received - 42296
Packets dropped - 0
Packets oversized - 0

Bytes dropped in asic - 1086486

Capture buffer will exists till exported or cleared

Stopped capture point : TestBW
DRCORESWT#mon cap TestBW start
Started capture point : TestBW
DRCORESWT#

What are the bytes dropped in ASIC?  I have a capture filter set to "match any" so i want to understand why anything is getting dropped.  This behavior is consistent.

Thank You,

KMNRuser

According to Cisco EPC is limit to 1000 packet per Sec. and if number higher than this the EPC not capture it and ASIC drop count increase.
show mon cap <> brief <<- what make traffic more than 1000 per sec.
if you can share output

thanks
