Cisco recommendend Firmware are followed by a yellow Star.

Also, some documentation mention the recommended IOS.

You will find the recommended firmware on https://software.cisco.com/download/home

Also check the datasheet of your platform.

How doI know WHAT is the recomended firmware?

Not just to download it
