Which one do i need to buy for stacking

Hi ,

I have the 9200L-24P fix switch.I would like to know if i want to do stacking 9200L , do I need to buy STACK-T4-50CM ? or do we need to buy C9200L-STACK-KIT ?

to build a full ring with two stack links between the two switches I think you need two C9200L-STACK-KIT

Stack kit for C9200L SKUs only: Two data stack adapters and one data stack cable

No one can definitely say whether to get the 50cm stacking cable or the 1m stacking cable because we do not know how the switches are going to be deployed.

If, for example, they are going to be deployed on top of each other with 1 RU in between then two 50cm stacking cable is sufficient.

But i confused some said to buy  Stack kit for C9200L SKUs only: Two data stack adapters and one data stack cable .

some said to buy STACK-T4-50CM .

When i depoly 9300 series i don't need to buy stack kit. i only need to buy stack cable.

But i am not sure 9200L can do stacking with stack cable only.

So i would like to know which option is need to buy to stack two switch ?

1. Stack kit for C9200L SKUs only ?
2. STACK-T4-50CM ?
3. Both stack kit and stack cable ?

Looks like you going circle here.

If you buy a Stack kit you get 1 Cable, that will be good for 1,  2 switches to do stack, (iyou need only 1 stack cable - you do not need stack kit here)

This this is additional requirement, again rule applies as mentioned above.

Note : you can not mix stacking Cat 9300 and Cat 9200.

My two switch will deploy in same rack. So no need long cable.

You better know your Rack layout and distance between each switch ( we only suggest what we know here ?)

Not why it was not clear, the clear explanation of KIT vs single stack cable.

You need to buy a KIT, later if you like to add more switches, you buy single stack cable.

as otehrs mentioned, make sure you buy right length of the cable, since we have no visibilioty how you racking the kit  ( so consider length cable always key here)
