WS-C3750G-48PS IOS Upgrade

Hi there,

I am in the process of upgrading our stack of 4 switches consist of WS-C3750G-48PS. Upon reading release notes found that there are two versions of release notes 1 day apart, the one 02 Sep 2012 saying that WS-C3750-48PS is not supported in this version. Then in release next day 03 Sep 2012 that note has been removed. Which one is correct. Is it supported with my model of switch or not.

Also unable to update boot path in the stack switches, "switch all" is not supported in the current IOS. Anyone know another way to update it.

Master switch has new boot path but unable to change in slaves.

Cheers

Shan

Hi Shan Ansari,

Question: 1

The 3750G units can stack together with other Cisco Catalyst 3750 Series or 3750G units using StackWise technology to form a single virtual switching unit. The 3560G is a standalone switch.

Stackable switches:

Catalyst 3750v2, 3750G, 3750E, and 3750-X

Standalone switches

Catalyst 3560v2, 3560G, 3560-E, and 3560-X

The Cisco Catalyst Switches are available with the IP Base Image or the IP Services Image.

Question: 2

I verified this issue and looks like your issue is matching with known Bug CSCed80724

CSCed80724 - Need way to change the BOOT setting on member switches

Description:

The user cannot configure the boot statement on member switches. The boot statement is a global statement that applies to all switches in the stack.

Workaround:

1. Disconnect the switch from the stack, change the boot statement, and then add it back to the stack.

2. Upgrade / downgrade all switches in the stack to the same IOS revision

This issue is fixed in 12.2(25)SEA
