I have this issue with a Catalyst WS-C3850-48U; some of the ports do not give the power to the appliances. Actually I have the recommended version for this device (16.12.5b) and the ports do not link when appliance is connected.
I have already restarted the device, test the cables, and set the power inline auto/static command on the interface.

Im looking for this thread, and I cannot see a precise solution to fix this, someone says to reboot the power cycle, or downgrade/upgrade even to RMA the appliance, but is not sure.
Do you have any comments?
I appreciate this.

16.12.05b - is effected, if any new release available i will upgade and test it - If you tried different ports and same issue also upgraded same issue, then i Raise TAC case then they suggest best.

How was the switch rebooted? Did someone use the "reload" command or power reset the switch?

I used the reload command? Is it ok? or Should I do the power cycle reset?

Any switch running IOS-XE having PoE/SNMP issue must be cold-rebooted (pull the power cable, wait for 10 seconds).
