Hi John,

Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT3K_CAA-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 03.06.06E RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Both ports are access port and there have PC connected to them.

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/22
 switchport access vlan 101
 switchport mode access

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/23
 switchport access vlan 101
 switchport mode access

Raise a TAC Case. Switch #2 could be faulty.

Hi Leo,

Why u said switch #2? It seems the error referring to 2 process kernel and on the platform number 3. I'm not sure can you please help understand with more details.

Thank you,

%IOSXE-3-PLATFORM: MEMBER: 2 process kernel: ERROR

Whoopsie. Sorry, me bad.
Yes, unit 3 could be faulty.

Thanks Leo for your prompt reply,

My doubt still remain as all the error i saw on the discussion starting with (%IOSXE-3-PLATFORM:) them member or standby, in my case is member.

In those cases that referring to the standby it is more easy to tshoot but for the member as I have two member im not sure which member is.

Each switch has a Mode button.  Press (not hold it down) the Mode button until the LED reaches Switch.  Look at the LED of the ports.  Switch member 3 should have port 3 LED blinking.

@Leo Laohoo

I know it by press the mode button until the led reaches the stack option, them the interface led shows the sequence of the stack. As I told you all the error related to this bug starting with (%IOSXE-3-PLATFORM) not mean that is switch #3 is fault as you can see on the below log, after the PLATFORM: show if is the member or standby. In case you have more than four member how can you know which member is causing this?

%IOSXE-3-PLATFORM: STANDBY:2 process kernel: ERROR L2C_TADX_INT(0)[L2DSBE]: Data Single-Bit Error

%IOSXE-3-PLATFORM: MEMBER: 2 process kernel: ERROR CVMX_L2C_ERR_TDT: 0x40b000000007ae42

This tells me it is switch #3.

Okay Leo, I will replace the switch #3 in my case is the standby switch then I will monitor. I will come back with findings.

Thanks for your support.
