WS-X45-SUP6L-E keeps resetting with Vector 0 error

Hello all,

I have a 4506-E catalyst with a WS-X45-SUP6L-E running cat4500e-lanbase-mz.122-54.SG1.bin.  The switch keeps resetting and the only output we can capture is a single "Vector 0" entry.  Logging to a syslog server generates no input.  The three linecards are powered down to eliminate them from being the source of the issue.

Has anyone come across this issue before?  I cannot set boot diagnostics to anything other than minimal - the diagnostic bootup level complete command isn't recognised.

Hi

We've encountered exactly the same problem.

Initially we had to replace the supervisor card as it was faulty. However since the replacement was installed, we now see the problem you're encountering. The replacement module is exactly the same product code but it would seem the new card has something different in regards to it's firmware. Change of IOS seems to have no effect on this issue.

Did you get a resolution to your problem?

Can you please post the complete output to the command "sh version"?
