WS-X4648-RJ45V+E with sup7-E

My new 4510r-e swtch came with two WS-X4748-RJ45V+E  in slot 1 and 2 and sup7-E in slot 5 and 6.

Can I populate the rest of the slots with WS-X4648-RJ45V+E modules or do I have to go with the 4748 modules?

Or since the two sups are 7E do i need to use only 4748 modules?

Please advise.

thanks,

Jack

Hi,

Based on Table 1 data, you are good to go with WS-X4648 modules on 4510R-E with Sup 7-E.

The two sups are for redundancy (Active/standby).
