WS-X4712-SFP+E compatibility with 4510R+E core switch with Sup 8-E

I've done some digging on this and i keep finding mixed data.  Some sites say its compatible but cisco's site says its not.

Can someone tell me if the WS-X4712-SFP+E line card is compatible with the 4510R+E core switch running the WS-X45-SUP8-E supervisor?  Its running old code (never upgraded since it was installed in 2015) cat4500es8-universalk9.SPA.03.06.04.E.152-2.E4.bin

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

According to Table 1 in this link from 2016, it is not supported.

The link to the document you posted is from 2018, which is newer than the one I posted, but you may still want to talk to your Cisco SE or sales guy to be sure because Sup-8 is end-of-life and sale.

Yup, appears true for the -E chassis.

OP notes having a +E chassis.

I recall the 7R-E and 10R-E support 24 Gbps per slot, while the 7R+E and 10R+E support 48 Gbps per slot.

I believe it would be fine with a sup8 in the +E chassis.

The cores are running older code cat4500es8-universalk9.SPA.03.06.04.E.152-2.E4.bin which I believe translates to 3.6.4(MD). 

I looked on the support downloads for the SUP 8-E and see that cat4500es8-universalk9.SPA.03.06.04.E.152-2.E4.bin is under 3.6.4(MD).  Its safe to say that I am running newer code than the minimum required 3.1.0SG, correct?
