3000MXP ISDN lines

Simple question - Do I need to use more than one ISDN interface when configuring the device for ISDN?  Its been 20yrs since I've used ISDN and back then it was just for data.  Thanks in advance.

Hi,

3000MXP supports up to 4 ISDN lines.

You simply plug in 1 ISDN line into the interface and configure for just that 1 line and you are good to call at 128kbps.

Hi Anthony

If you use base model 3000MXP, you can use simultaneously 3BRI ports or 384kpbs for one call.

Max 4BRI or 512kbps, but need buy additional bandwidth option for last BRI port.

128 kbps is small for a video call.

Thanks the quick response.  I'll start with that and increase if the video is poor.

It will look as "good" as the 128kbit/s ip call (ok ip adds some additional overhead), ...

So do not expect to much.

I would say, below 384 is horrible, 768 is ok, from 1500 it is looking great (my today's personal opinion)

But it all depends on how you are using it and what you need/expect.
