Guys,
Having trouble finding where to allow audio dial in particiapnts to a TMS scheduled conference hosted on MCU to join and be put on hold prior to the start time. The current settings behave like this. If an audio participant calls into the ISDN gateway - they get to the prompts and recorded message. They then punch in the conference details from the TMS email confirmation and add there PIN. this is successful. If they dial in before the conference start time - even 10 seconds prior for example - their call just get disconnected. No warning or message. Is this normal behaviour? I would expect there is a way to have them put on hold until the conference start time and then have them join? that swoudl be the prefered approach.
If they call in after start time it works fine.
Any guidance out there?
Thanks

One way to do this:
TMS:
Administrative Tools/Configuration/Conference Settings
Conference Create Options - change "Default Setup Buffer" from "0" to the number of minutes required
Conference Connection/Ending Options - set "Participant Connection State During Setup Buffer" to "Connect no participants during buffer".
This will allow people to dial in prior to the scheduled conference start, however, this is a global setting, so this will apply to all scheduled conferences.

Thanks Jens, Just want to make sure I understandd the impact of this setting if any. If say I change the buffer to 5mins. Does this mean that a 1hr conference from say 12 - 1 will be booked in tms from 11.55 - 1?
Does this mean that the hour prior say 11-12 can no longer be booked? by another conference as it will be in use accordIng to TMS?

Yes, in that example you will have to book it from 1100-1155 and so on. So, yes, there's an unfortunate downside to doing it this way.
