Hi - Does anyone know if it's possible to extend the length of the camera cable on a QuickSet C20 please?
I'm just wondering if it's possible in a similar way to the MXP solution that used the 3 x 6.5m extender cables plus a power supply.... along with an extended HDMI cable as well perhaps??
Kind Regards,
Richard

I don't know the length, however the PrecisionHD Camera Guide might contain the requirements. I know HDMI has a maximum length, though I'm not sure if the VISCA cable has one since it's simply power/control. You could also plug in the camera's independent power supply, then all you have to focus on is control. The guide also contains the pin-outs you're looking for as well.

Yes it is possible, you can create your own cables to whatever lenght you need. C20 Admin Guide contains the cable pin-outs you would need, see page 79.

Thanks for the quick response, that's great. So to a maximum length I presume, am I safe to say up to 20m for argument sake?
Thanks again

Just found the following on the developer forums, it looks like someone managed to make a ~100ft VISCA cable and it worked fine. It's daisy changed, but it's the same concept.
