Cannot access SX80 Codec using secondary RJ45 port (or http)

Greetings,

Trying to get to the http port of an SX80 codec to reset / admin unit - Touch 10 not available.  Followed these instructions:

//www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-codec-c60/118576-technote-mxseries-00.html

Tried hooking up laptop to secondary port via hardwired Ethernet - it did get an IP address from the SX80, when I tried to access the SX80 (via it's gateway IP address).  Got SSL error on browser:

The connection for this site is not secure

[fe80::82e0:1dff:fef7:a821] uses an unsupported protocol.

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

Interestingly enough, if I used a browser of a connected PC on same network to the SX80's V6 IP address - the same thing happens.  Was using Chrome and Edge browsers.

Thanks for any pointers!

It's much easier to factory reset a SX80 by using the power button on the front.   See Factory reset Sx80 endpoint for the details on how to do this.

Thanks for the tip. The power reset was the first thing we attempted.
Tried about 6 times from power off. Powered on, held power button until
blinking, two depresses of button. System did not reset.

Just a quick follow-up on this.  We WERE able to do a hardware reset using the Power button.   You have to be tenacious with this.  I think the correct combination was to power it down using the button.  Then power it up from the switch in back while holding the power button down, wait until power blinks, then hit it twice.  Keep at it - it will eventually reset!

Yes, the unit has to be in a powered off state to start.   It says that in the document I linked to.   It can be a bit fiddly to perform (and the old EX90s were similar in their reset, and I struggled factory resetting those a few times back in the day), but persistence is the key if it doesn't work the first time (or three) keep trying and you'll get there eventually.
