Cisco C40 automatically unregister with CUCM 8.6.2

Hi

I have Cisco C40 connected to CUCM 8.6.2.

First time it is registered with CUCM and I was able to make call to C40 from other phone.

Then, C40 automatically unregisterd from CUCM and it is not registering with CUCM now.

I have added C40 via, Device->Phone->Add new->then Selected Teleprecense C40

C40 SW version is : 5.1.5.297625

I have attached C40 and CUCM screen shot. It shows unregistered, this proves C40 registerd at least once.

I was able to make and receive call with C40 for couple of minutes. Afterwards unregistered automatically and now,

error message is status : Failed

Please delete the Profile from the CUCM and follow this document to register the device again to the CUCM :

Please try this and hopefully it will register the device with the CUCM.

In order to check whether the CUCM is reachable from the C40, please SSH into the C40 codec and use this command to check the connectivity: systemtools network ping

Thanks a lot, I have added using similar procedure, except User and C40 association.

C40 status was showing registerd for few minutes, I was able to make call, after few minutes it unregistered and then not registering with CUCM at all....! (Thanks to Cisco for this new feature..!)

Is that mandatory, add diagest user ? I have already EX90 registered without any digest user account.

you dont need to have digest user account as this is a native registration.

to check this issue in detail , can you provide xstatus sip and xconfig sip from unit. you can capture them from SSH or telent.

Can you check whether there is any connectivity between CUCM and codec ?

In order to check whether the CUCM is reachable from the C40, please SSH  into the C40 codec and use this command to check the connectivity:  systemtools network ping . Please try this command when the device is unregistered with the CUCM.

please makes below changes in your SIP settings:

change SIP profile 1 Type to Cisco as this is native registration and default transport to TCP
