Cisco EQ - Operating system

Could you please confirm which operating system Cisco uses in the background for solutions like Cisco EQ? Specifically, is it based on Linux, and if so, which distribution? We are planning to implement the Cisco EQ solution with Microsoft Teams Native integration, and it is very important for us to know the underlying platform. I was unable to find official information regarding this.

It's its own custom version.  It should be considered as an appliance rather than a computer which can be updated at will, so the specifics can often be ignored as there is no way you can alter it (other than newer software releases from Cisco).
