what is the basic configuration needed to install a cisco camera on a cisco 3850 switch. I guess I also need a display software to go with it. Please help. Thanks

Hi

On the switch the config for cameras is basically add vlan on the port. The switch needs to have proper power supply to provide power via PoE. Usually 1100 W power supply is ok.

For monitoring you may need a DVR gear that will provide you the software to monitor the cameras.
