We are running CMS 3.5 with CMM. Users are already imported from LDAP. We need to add a CoSpaceTemplate but it seems it needs to be added individually for each user. Challenge is we have more than 1000 users. is there a way we can do it in one go?

If you just import users directly in CMS, then you will have to configure the coSpaces manually.
But you can use CMM to setup provisioning, then coSpaces will be created automatically with the template / settings you add.

we imported via LDAP directly to CMS so does that mean we have to do it manually? we have CMM though and also pulling from same LDAP server.

You can try to bind a "coSpaceTemplate" and the "ldapSource" together and probably sync the users again.
But I know in the past, this wasn't really working. So, the coSpaces had to be configured manually.
With the provisioning option in CMM it worked.

Just go through the GUI steps for setting up the provisioning or read the docs. Nobody will give you a step-by-step manual for that. It's not rocket science, the GUI will lead you through. Aaaand: you probably will learn something, doing it on your own ';)' You won't learn something by just copy/paste the steps someone else has written.
You are a technician, so you should be able to find information on your own. The forum isn't here for training or providing configuration manuals to be copied/pasted in general. It's here to help with specific problems.
