Cisco VC endpoint cheap Recording method

Hi,

I'm designing a cheap method to make the recording on Cisco VC point to point call.

Cisco SX20 (HDMI-output-1) ------ HDMI splitter -----(separate two HDMI output) ------ Monitor ===== Video Recording Server / Hardware
(I must restrict to record the video only [Must not record the audio] )

Anyone try this cheap method to record video conference?

- EX90, EX60, DX70, DX80, SX20, C40, SX80 .... all can work on all Cisco VC endpoint / codec?
- Two endpoint is Cisco brand, that would make the encryption video, which is Layer 3 encryption and will not affect the HDMI splitter recording?

If you only want the video, then you will need a little more than that, as the far end audio is usually sent out the HDMI connector.  You'd need to use an HDMI Audio De-Embedder to strip this out for your video only.

If you need to record the local video as well, you'd need to turn on the self-view as well so the local camera appears on the screen (in a window) as well as the far end video.

(And, no, the encryption on the network link, or even on the call will not affect the HDMI output).
