Can someone provide me doc which talks about Cisco Video Conferencing integration with Skype for Business 2015 ? I think i do have doc for Lync 2013 which is mentioned over here .
But i am looking for same kind of doc for Skype of Business 2015 . Also if you can share doc for office 365 integration that will be great.
Is there any benefit using Polycom over Cisco for Lync integration ?

Hi,
For S4B we use https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn933891.aspx
But this way have big limitation:
"New calls from the Skype for Business deployment to the VTCs over the video SIP trunk are not supported. . This means that only new calls from the VTCs into the Skype for Business deployment are supported over the video SIP trunk. Presence for the supported video system will not be available over the video SIP trunk to the VIS."

Hi Oleksandr,
Thanks for response. Appreciate it. So it means there will be no presence feature is there for S4B and Cisco Video conference integration ?

With Cisco's acquisition of Acano we now have the best solution for integration between Lync/SFB and traditional video environments. Polycom's solution is much more complex to deploy and use. See this whitepaper: https://www.acano.com/publications/2016/03/White-Paper-Acano-S4BLync-Integration-Architecture.pdf

So all the features of Acano included in Cisco Video conferencing or it is road map in 2017 ? Is there any doc to compare Cisco and Polycom's video solution for Lync ?
Appreciate your response .

As Patrick mentions, with Acano you can use most any version of S4B server, as well as their respective clients. However, if you want to deploy S4B with VCS/Expressway, you're limited to S4B Server 2013 at the moment and there are a few limitations with some of their clients, refer to the "Features and Limitations" section in either of the following guides.

Hi Partrick,
Does that mean Cisco do not support S4B Server 2015 at this moment ? Is there any road map in future for S4B 2015 edition ? i heard that VCS lync gateway will cause traffic bottle neck. Is there any other best approach for Lync integration ? Our primary requirement is to have video call with presence features between Cisco and Microsoft .

I'd assume it's on the road map somewhere, but I don't really know. To find out about road maps, and where S4B support is going, you should contact your Account Manager, they can also tell you more about Acano and how it fits into the Collaboration products.
