We currently host an environment with 2 x CTMS servers hosting our multipoint meetings however we are likely to have a requirement to purchase one or more Telepresence server chassis' and appropriate blades. Given that the Telepresence server can host multipoint meetings without the need for CTMS, is there any benefit in keeping the CTMS, provided we have enough capacity on the Telepresence server?
In addition, my experience with the Telepresence server is that scheduled meetings usually start by the bridge auto dialling out to endpoints at the meeting start time. Is it possible to have it work as per CTMS/CTM - i.e. "one button to start" pressed from the endpoint, with scheduled meetings displayed on the phone?
Lastly, where does that leave Cisco Telepresence Manager (CTM)? If we need new scheduling software for Telepresence Server, is there any point in keeping CTM? Or will CTM get some of the features of TMS?
Any help on this would be much appreciated, thanks

Also, if we end up using Telepresence server/VCS, do we need to keep using CUBE/SBC for external CTS connectivity or can Telepresence Server/VCS handle that?

Hi Nick,
I work on the Cisco Telepresence Team. To be honest, my suggestion here would be to address this question directly to the CISCO Key Account Manager.
Based on your specific netwrok deployment requiremets this can be addressed through the account manager directly to the product managemt team of TS and CTMS teams and the best design solution can be presented to you.
hope this suggestion helps
Cristian
