CTS-3010/3000 and device packs

We are getting a CTS-3010 installed in a few days, but currently my CUCM only has options for a CTS-3000 - do I need a device pack, or can I add the new CTS-3010 to CUCM as a CTS-3000?

From CCO URL :
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/ps7060/ps8329/ps8330/ps8333/ps10753/data_sheet_c78-579689.html

It says : Cisco Unified Communications Manager V7.0(2a) SU2 or later

If CUCM does not have the support the endpoint will not be recognized or might be recognized but certain features will not work on the 3010.

For TAC support you need to have CUCM version V7.0(2a) SU2 or later.

Check also the compatibility matrix for the supported software release.

Thanks for that

We've upgraded to CUCM 7.1.5.31900-3 but we still don't have an option for a CTS-3010, only a CTS-3000 in CUCM.

I have also got device packs cmterm-devicepack7.1.5.31900-3 and cmterm-devicepack7.1.3.33024 installed.

Hi Nick:

You must add it as a 3000 unit when initally adding the device in CUCM.

Once added, under the Device Configuration page for the codec in CUCM, go to the "Product Specific Configuration Layout" section, and click the drop down next to "Cisco Telepresence Type."  There should be an option to configure the unit as a 3010.

Tina

All done - thanks!
