Hi,
I'm trying to setup up a very basic lab to show CUCM 8.5 with an SRST 2900 series router. I don't need an advanced configuration. Can someone point me to some documentation on how to setup the SRST router? The router is still in the box. The only thing I need to use the router for is SRST so I don't need advanced routing.
Thank you.

Hi,
You can set up the gateway as SRST or CME-as-SRST.
SRST: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a00807f8b31.shtml
CME-as-SRST: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmesrst.html

Hope this helps, please rate if it does.

Thanks Adrian. This is a good start. Do you have any information on the router setup? In other words, do I just follow the initial router setup that is in the 2900 series documentation and then add the SRST config?

Hi,
Yes, do the initial basic setup and then add SRST configuration. Just in case, in order to have VoIP/IPTelephony in ISR G2, your router must be UC technology packaged. More about IOS in ISR G2:http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10616/white_paper_c11_556985.html#wp9000793
Hope it helps.

Hi Adrian,
Thank you for all the help. Do you know if there's a way to obtain a non-production UC license? I saw that I can request a trial license for 60 days - but is there a way to get something more permanent for a lab / testing environment?

Hi,
You should contact Cisco TAC and explain them your needs to see if they can issue you an extension for longer trials.

Good luck!
